🍴 Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon grated garlic
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 16 oz sliced mushrooms
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons half and half
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

🔥 Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, blend together ground beef, egg, Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, and garlic. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Form the mixture into four oblong patties.
  3. In a large skillet, heat oil over high heat. Cook patties about 3-4 minutes on each side until medium rare. Remove and cover with foil to keep warm.
  4. Reduce heat to medium. Add mushrooms and onions to the skillet, cooking until onions are soft and mushrooms are reduced, about 7-8 minutes.
  5. Stir in tomato paste, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce, and bring to a boil. Simmer until the sauce thickens slightly, about 3-4 minutes.
  6. Stir in half and half, return patties to the skillet, and cook until patties are done. Serve topped with mushroom gravy and garnished with parsley.
